I’m an artist, primary school teacher, wife and mother. I have lived for much of my adult life just below the Cumbrian fells of the English Lake District; my favourite place on Earth. I now live in York. I have painted for years on silk but I have recently enjoyed painting acrylics and discovering the possibilities now available with digital art applications.
The aim of my artwork is to convey and inspire a sense of awe and wonder in creation. We live in a busy fast paced world where it seems to be increasingly difficult to take time out. My work aims to arrest the mind and provide an opportunity for reflection and contemplation.
I find painting with vivid colours exhilarating. It is my hope that my work points people to the God who originally painted the colours of the world with his incredible imagination.
